Meet The Source No Bake Balls (four recipes!)

Processed with VSCO with l4 preset

So I’ve been following Shut The Kale Up for some time now, and she always is raving about Meet the Source, a small business based in Costa Mesa, CA that whips up some seriously delicious-looking, healthy-AF desserts. I’ve been specifically eyeing their no-bake balls. So I was poking around their website and contemplated buying some, but realized I have literally ALL of the ingredients at home to do a remake of these delicious looking balls. Without fail, I made FOUR different no-bake balls based on Meet The Source’s variety pack. and was shocked with how good they turned out! I will DEFINITELY be re-making these in the future. I even gave some to my friends to try, and right away they were like what is the recipe OMG?!? My all-time favorite though, definitely is the Cookie Dough 🙂

I love making no-bake balls. They are super easy to do, require no baking (obviously ha), and don’t dirty many dishes. Plus I love how you can taste along the way and really make them taste the way you want them to taste. Rarely can you mess up a no-bake ball – there’s always room for salvaging!

As you can see from the headline, one these babies actually has CBD in them, and OMG they turned out soooo goood with it. It was the perfect combo. Check out the recipes below to find out which one has CBD!

From left to right in my photo:

  • Cookie Dough
  • Chocolate
  • Mint Chip
  • Strawberry

Now, onto the recipes!

Cookie Dough No-Bake Balls

FYI: I wish I had blended my oat flour to a finer consistency. It was still a bit gritty.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup oat flour (I used oats)
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup cashew butter
  • 2 tbsp almond milk
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Process the oats in a food processor until they are a flour consistency.
  2. Add all ingredients except chocolate chips to the food processor and process.
  3. Make sure you get your dough right before adding your chips.
  4. Add chocolate chips last and do a few pulses.
  5. Pro Tip: if too thick, add more almond milk or avocado oil, but slowly.

Chocolate No-Bake Balls

FYI: So I added coconut flakes to the actual dough, but if I made again, I would leave those out and save it for ball rolling.

DIRECTIONS:

  • 8-9 Dates
  • 1/4 cup Almond Butter
  • 1/3 cup Raw Cacao Powder
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Generous sprinkle of Sea Salt
  • 3 tbsp coconut shreds (for rolling balls, optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Pit and soak your dates in warm water for 10 minutes.
  2. Add dates to food processor and process.
  3. Add remaining ingredients except last 3 tbsp of coconut flakes and process.
  4. Same pro tip: If too thick, add some almond milk or avocado oil. If too thin, add more dates or cacao powder.
  5. Roll balls in coconut shreds

Strawberry No-Bake Balls

FYI: I added all of the coconut flakes to the dough, and didn’t save any for ball rolling. If I made again, I would follow recipe below and not add as much coconut.

  • 1 cup Cashews
  • 2 tbsp coconut flakes
  • Half of a bag of Freeze-Dried Strawberries (I got mine from TJs)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Butter
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Sea Salt
  • 3 tbsp coconut shreds for rolling (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Process cashews and coconut flakes
  2. Add in all remaining ingredients and process.
  3. If too thick, add some almond milk or avocado oil. If too thin, add more strawberries or coconut butter.

CBD Mint Chip No-Bake Balls

FYI: This was my first time baking with CBD, and I am obsessed. I used Charlotte’s Web Mint Chocolate Extra Strength CBD Oil. I got a sample at ExpoWest and put it to good use!

Also FYI: These are the same base as the cookie dough balls, but with the addition of spirulina and CBD.

INGREDIENTS:

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Process the oats in a food processor until they are a flour consistency.
  2. Add all ingredients except chocolate chips to the food processor and process.
  3. Make sure you get your dough right before adding your chips.
  4. Add chocolate chips last and do a few pulses.
  5. Pro Tip: if too thick, add almond milk or avocado oil, but slowly.
